This is why we create opportunities to connect with young talent and share how AI is transforming industries today. From 11–14 August 2025, we had the privilege of welcoming three student groups from Beijing Institute of Technology to our Singapore headquarters for an immersive Student Visit.
The visit was designed to provide students with more than just a glimpse into our work. It offered them the opportunity to understand VisionTech’s growth journey, see first-hand how Generative AI is being applied in real-world scenarios, and experience how technology can address challenges faced by businesses and communities today.
Through presentations, live demonstrations, group activities, and open discussions, students explored the possibilities of AI and its impact on industries and society. By engaging with our team and applying their ideas in practice, they bridged classroom knowledge with hands-on innovation.
To kick off each visit, the students were introduced to VisionTech’s story and leadership – a foundation that set the stage for everything they would discover throughout the day.
Getting to Know VisionTech
Founded in 2018 by Mr. Lim Hui Jie, VisionTech Pte Ltd is a fast-growing Singapore-based Generative AI company. We specialize in developing AI-driven solutions that elevate sales, enhance customer experiences, and streamline operations.

With this background in mind, students were eager to dive deeper – starting with an introduction from VisionTech’s leadership.
Welcoming Students with VisionTech’s Story
The visit began with an introduction to VisionTech’s journey and the values that drive our innovation. Our CEO and Founder, Mr. Lim Hui Jie, shared how VisionTech has grown from its roots in Singapore into a trusted partner for businesses across Southeast Asia.
Students from Beijing Institute of Technology gained a deeper understanding of our core business areas, which span both customer-facing AI solutions and internal enterprise tools. They also learned how VisionTech addresses real-world challenges such as manpower shortages and operational inefficiencies by combining human expertise with intelligent AI systems.
This opening session gave students a clear foundation. With a stronger grasp of who we are and what we stand for, they were ready to explore the real-world applications of Generative AI.
Discovering Generative AI in Action
The next segment was dedicated to Generative AI, where students witnessed firsthand how the technology is transforming industries. Our team showcased several live demonstrations of VisionTech’s AI modules, highlighting their applications in customer engagement, commerce automation, growth insights, and enterprise efficiency.
Instead of theory alone, the showcase highlighted practical use cases. Students learned how SMEs, large enterprises, and the public sector apply Generative AI to achieve measurable results.
The session ended with an interactive Q&A. Students asked about the ethics of AI, the hurdles businesses face, and how future careers will adapt. Their questions revealed curiosity and a forward-looking mindset that reflects the future of work.
After exploring the possibilities of AI, the focus shifted toward applying these ideas in practice.
Collaborating on Case Studies & Ideas
Next, the visit turned into a hands-on challenge. Students worked in small groups of five to six to design an AI use case for an industry of their choice.
Each group brainstormed, refined, and aligned their ideas with real business needs. Some teams focused on retail and customer service, others on healthcare, education, or logistics. This exercise showed students how to spot gaps, match them with AI capabilities, and think through practical solutions.
The activity encouraged teamwork and creativity. It proved that innovation often comes from shared effort and bold ideas.
Showcasing Ideas & Celebrating Winners
The final stage brought energy and excitement. Each group pitched their solution to the VisionTech team. Students presented with clarity and confidence, linking their ideas to real industry problems.
We were impressed by their creativity and critical thinking. Many proposals reflected genuine market challenges, paired with fresh solutions.
After careful review, we announced a winning group for each session. Winners stood out for originality, practicality, and impact. Still, every team impressed us with their enthusiasm and vision.
Closing on a celebratory note, the session highlighted that innovation is not limited to established companies – it can begin with anyone willing to imagine and create.
